ELSRTS Major Grant Applications

ELSRTS has been working toward Major Grant applications for the neighborhoods surrounding all ELPS K-8 schools since 2018.

The Safe Routes to School Major Grant offers an excellent opportunity for communities to enhance connectivity for all residents. This funding supports infrastructure improvements along routes that lead to school, such as filling sidewalk gaps, upgrading crosswalks, and traffic calming. You can learn more about the Major Grant from Safe Routes Michigan here.

The action plans for our grant applications are created through the support of the MSU Safe Routes Team in cooperation with the City of East Lansing, East Lansing Public Schools, neighborhood residents, the Michigan Fitness Foundation (MFF), and Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
